Neil Joshi

 

Mr. Joshi’s professional investing career spans more than two decades and encompasses a variety of asset classes, strategies and senior roles. Prior to founding Tuscan Ridge, Mr. Joshi was at PEAK6 Advisors from 2008-2014, where he was hired as the firm’s first non-volatility portfolio manager and tasked to develop strategies outside the firm’s traditional focus on volatility arbitrage. He managed the firm’s Opportunistic Trading Strategy and in 2012 was named Co-Chief Investment Officer of the PEAK6 Performance Fund. From 2007-2008, Mr. Joshi was Portfolio Manager of a Capital Structure Arbitrage and a Convertible Bond Strategy for UBS O’Connor. Before this, he worked at Deephaven Capital from 2002-2007 as Co-Head of the Convertible Bond Strategy, Head of the Volatility Arbitrage Strategy and Head of the Opportunistic Credit & Credit Derivatives Strategy. From 1996-1998, he was Portfolio Manager of a Fundamental Long/Short Equity Strategy at CS Investments. Mr. Joshi began his career in 1993 as a volatility trader for Apollo Trading, where he launched and built out the European division that was later bought by Bear Stearns and subsequently became the core of its European Equity Derivatives Trading Business. Mr. Joshi currently resides in Chicago with his wife and two children. He is a member of the YPO Organization.

Mr. Joshi earned an MBA in Finance, Strategy, and Entrepreneurship from The University of Chicago, Booth School of Business in 2000, and a BA in Biology and Economics from The University of Chicago in 1993.
